The reuse of lancets will affect their safety, effectiveness, and comfort, and will expose users to unnecessary risks. Dispose of in a suitable sharps container. Improper use of blood lancets can increase the risk of inadvertent transmission of bloodborne pathogens, particularly in settings where multiple patients are tested.

Directions

Instructions for Use: Wash hands with soap and warm water. Pat hands dry. Twist off lancet cap. Insert lancet into lancing device. Select fingertip site slightly off-center to maximize comfort. Press device against finger and press release button. If necessary, massage finger tip to increase blood flow. Apply blood to test strip. Wipe finger with a soft tissue or dry cotton ball until bleeding stops. Dispose of entire lancet in a suitable sharps container. Discard properly in accordance with any local disposal ordinances where applicable.
